The Feminists

"The Feminists" started as a single joke song, and then ended up turning into a whole concept band. The band is Laura C. Chord (me) on drums, Elanor "Don't Spoil Your Appetite/Fighting For Equal Rights" Gateau (Joe DiModugno) on Guitar, and Amynda D. Poprovera (Dave Dupuis) on vocals. We all wrote a bunch of songs and I wrote most of the music. We recorded a full length album and played a gig downtown, where we dressed up as old ladies.

Live At The Car Hole (Soundtrack) (July 10th 2004)

The audio from the acclaimed "Live At The Car Hole" concert film. Includes several previously unrecorded songs, including "Broken Snare Drum", "Ich Bin Ein Fraulein" and "Bake Cake, Procreate". The Feminists play to a full house at Windsor's "car hole", which closed down shortly after.

A Woman's Work is Never Done (April 24th 2004)

Nearly 28 minutes of glory! This is our first album called "A Woman's Work is Never Done". All songs written by "The Feminists" except for The Who cover thrown in for good measure. Mike plays Drums and does background vocals, Dave sings and Joe learned how to play guitar just for this occasion! Everything was recorded live with no overdubs straight onto an 8-track minidisk recorder and mixed to PC in one weekend.
